(photo taken from pedestrian deposit's Bandcamp page) Tonight Buffalo’s Sugar City will be graced by one of Los Angeles’ finest noise acts. Halfway through a two month, full U.S. tour, Pedestrian Deposit , an experimental harsh noise act, dives headfirst into nearly facet of experimental music, creating a horrifying and gorgeous canyon of both panic and peace. The duo, Shannon A. Kennedy and Jonathan Borges, uses a variety of homemade instruments and electronics, and produce sounds by scraping metal hooks, bowing metal cables on pulleys, and even cellos (both the kind you’d find in a music store and others made from tree branches and string). Teetering between harsh noise, musique concrète, and sound collage, Pedestrian Deposit is sure to offer a variety of sonic and oral pains and pleasures in equal doses. Their most recent release, Dyers’ Hands, provides a preview of both the beautiful and horrible sounds that will be summoned tonight on the West Side. Kenne
